Default Which do you prefer: Paragon or Ritualist?

I can't decide which character to develop in Nightfall... my existing rit or a new paragon. They both seem to have similar abilities in terms of support role and I haven't spent much time comparing them both with a fine-pick comb. Which one would you guys choose... and why?

I'd choose a Paragon, their style is totally different from the Rt one. They are more offensive than defensive... It's a good mixture of defense and offense, while Rts were used mostly because of their defensive spirits. I never liked those ^^

You'll have an easier time as a Paragon than a Ritualist.

Sadly, only 2 people know that Ritualists can be incredible damage dealers or healers. One is me, and I spiked the other one with Gaze from Beyond.

Rofl good one. All the classes can be satisfying to play with in certain situations. Depends on what looks you like better ^^

Paragons are more versatile.. you'll never see a (serious) Rit with Resto spells, Spirits and Channeling in the same build (healing + protection + damage). You will, however, see rits with 2-3 attack skills and the rest being defensive (party-wide, mind you) skills.

My major dislike with rits is the lack of mobility. Pain and shadow song are amazing spirits but they cant keep the support fire up after you move. Recupe and dissonance are useful to but if you move alot (i.e. most factions missions and a large number or proph ones) the benefit is gone.

I havent played a paragon enough to find many things to dislike with them
